The red cabbage is lovely, and that's something I never seem to have much luck with growing. Wishing you all the best in 2018!
Thank you Dave. It's one of our favourites at tis time in the year! Hoping 2018 goes well for you too
Wow on those 87 mice! I'm sure the recipients will appreciate all those homemade goodies, what a treat. Happy Solstice to you too - I know I am ready for some longer days!
I love to see what others are growing and you do have some veg that I might have to grow next year. I love the idea of the viburnum scenting the air as you harvest.
Thanks Joy.. let me know what you are growing, won't you?
The Romanesco was good and tasty all right! And when I sow those chilli seeds I shall be taking care not to touch them, either
The Romanesco is so pretty! And I bet it was tasty as well. I do feel your pain on the chilli seeds. I wear gloves when I work with the peppers and I made a note to be careful with the seeds too.
All looking wonderful as always Kathy. I too found a romanesco cauliflower a bit back but not looking as great as yours.I call it dinosaur broccoli as thats what my children called it many moons ago😄
How these can grow unnoticed though, when they are large and bright lime green amazes me. Love the name dinosaur broccoli!!
Thank you Phuong. I hope the red ones grow to that size eventually too. With brassicas I try to use varieties that suit the season: some are not all year rounders, some mature quicker than others too
Your Christmas cactus looks amazing. It's great how well your Romanesco cauliflower and Brussels sprouts are doing. I've just haven't had good luck with brassicas, can't get the timing right.
