Thanks you Julie! Parsnips are one of our Winter favourites. They takes ages to grow and usually I don't dig any until after the first frost. Needed three for the local Show though.
You've got a lovely carrot harvest! I've never grown and I may have never even eaten a parsnip, but yours look nice.
Nice carrot and parsnip harvest. I did not plant carrots this year because it's too hot, but I found I am host to a lot of parsnip volunteers, courtesy of a gardener who let theirs go to seed.
I hope your volunteers give good roots Dave... a nice bonus crop!
Wonderful harvests - those carrots are great! I've grown parsnips for the first time this year and did a bad job of keeping their spot watered, so only 3 came up. We'll see what I uncover next month
Nothing like the taste of home grown parsnips, so I hope yours have grown well for you! Thank you for your kind comments
Your carrots and parsnips look incredible and it looks like you're getting a fantastic variety of tomatoes. We've mainly been freezing our produce, hopefully next year we'll have enough to can.
Wow, your courgettes and runner beans are doing fantastic. And you're getting so many different things from your garden.
Well to be honest the parsnips do have canker marks in their skin, but that does not affect their eating quality once they are peeled! They keep well in boxes of compost
We are very lucky to have the space for so many different vegetables and fruit Phuong. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog
Lovely pattypan squashes! I was curious to see what you do with them, and I see chutney and stuffing them. I don't usually do anything other than cook them straight up, but I love the flavor that way.
Thanks Dave! I am enjoying seeing what other people are harvesting via Harvest Monday ... lots of gorgeousness out there at this time in the year
Gorgeous tomatoes - am really pleased Sandpoint and Blush are doing well for you. Most of mine are still very green, but I think they are getting over the anti-blight defoliating!
Blush are superb and are definitely on my list for next year so thank you for the seeds x
We have some way to go to catch up with your tomato harvest,
Still plenty of time Sue
What phenomenal harvests you've had! Such amazing bounty, I do hope you're quite proud
Thank you Melissa. It is kind of you to say so! I love having lots of different tomatoes and am really pleased they are all beginning to ripen now
