I've wondered about the sweetcorn shoots and after hearing about yours I'll have to give them a try! Yay on the PSB. My first ever harvest is almost ready here.
The sweetcorn shoots just get better and better, so do give them a go, Dave!
Thank you Phuong xx
I am sorry beyond words for your loss.
Thanks Trill. They get Blood Fish & Bone in the soil bed as part of prep, about 6-8 chicken manure pellets in the hole on planting, puddled in then a sprinkle of the same tickled around in Nov & Feb.
Lovely broccoli. Do you feed with anything special? And I love the croci.
Interesting comment there about your brassicas.. the seeds have germinated now so they are on their way!!
In my Mediterranean climate in San Diego, I often see the starts of new plants at the base of my brassicas.
Gardens go on and provide needed continuity when life is full of uncertainty. I've not heard of perennial cauliflower.
Thank you all for your kind and thoughtful messages. The plots really help at the moment, in maintaining calm and a modicum of peace at such a fragile time
Well done Kathy, Abi would have been sorry if you hadn’t continued with your blog. You’ve certainly done more than me. I’ve only put the potatoes to chit.
I'm so sorry to hear your sad news - what a terrible blow that must have been! I think you are right though to try to maintain as much normality as possible, and your gardening & blogging will help.
What heart wrenching news, I want to extend my deepest sympathy.
Oh my, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart truly goes out to you and your family.
