Shame you are too far to share them Dave, especially the potatoes as there should be plenty soon!
Such a busy time of year, but you're getting a tremendous amount done. The flowers are so pretty at your plots and home garden.
Hi Phuong. Good to hear from you again! It is a busy time but putting the work in now is worth it alright! Thank you for your kind comments
Fresh strawberries, so yummy! And there's nothing quite like a new potato, with skin so tender you can rub it off. Two things I am not growing and miss.
The irises are lovely, as is the lettuce. I do love the spring greens, which are usually at their most tender here. And those are great pics of the dragonfly!
Glad you liked the dragonfly Dave! This year I have a good selection of lettuce … been watching you!
You polytunnel certainly extends your growing season, you have so much going on. I’ve just sown m coriander. I use lots of it and freeze some for use over winter. Dragonflies are amazing.
Thanks Sue. The tunnel is easier to manage in lots of ways than the outdoor beds, and I wouldn't be without it!
Thank you Trill... more later today with the irises. They do smell luscious, almost like parma violet
Lovely iris and lupin display. Our irises are just starting to put up stalks.
The weather is much warmer here so beans and tomatoes are now planted out. lettuce seems really good here this year too for some reason!
I have held off planting beans and tomatoes here too. It is supposed to warm up by weeks end and I hope to get started on setting out tomatoes. Meanwhile the lettuce is doing well in the cold!
Another great update Kathy
In these challenging times it is good to be able to keep busy with something productive! Hope your Rhubarb thrives!
I planted our asparagus 13 years ago and it is still going strong. I set out rhubarb recently and I hope it does as well as yours. Your tunnel looks so clean and neat inside too!
I do sometimes make Orange & Rhubarb Gin using peel, but never cooked it like that..ood to swap ideas thank you
I never thought of putting star anise, ginger or vanilla w/the rhubarb. Thanks for the idea. Orange zest which is delicious. Sometimes I make a rhubarb sauce with apples added.
